WordPress Plugins Wishlist – Plugins I Would Like To See Created & Working02 Sep
Five WordPress Plugins I want to see:
1) HTML Sitemap Plugin. With Features such as:
- Automatically creates a footer link to ‘sitemap’
- Allows for creation of an HTML sitemap using JUST categories or selected blog posts
- Ease of creation (don’t need to gather post ID numbers
- Has nothing to do with XML sitemaps! keep it separate!
2) Test in all browsers plugin.
- Something that displays images from all browsers (setup on some virtual server or something somewhere and then generated to display and flag any thing that appears erroneous.
- Sometimes styles don’t properly display in all browsers – this would help to identify those issues without the need for multiple computers.
3) Referring Sites plugin
- Something that would interface with your Google Analytics data and report to you within the wordpress admin panel (like Count Per Day does) with ACCURATE referring information.
- perhaps a way to sort through the data within wordpress admin panel
4) Shopping Cart integration
- It would be great is there were some better, more non-custom interesting ways for wordpress to interface with Magento or other shopping carts easily in a ‘plug and play’ kind of way would be great
- obviously the authorization process would need to be setup, preferably and easy, simple solution for wordpress blogs to sell
- there are likely some implementations of this, comments on success stories anyone?
5) WordPress Skinner from Images
- Wouldn’t it be great to have a PSD file that can turn into a skinned WordPress blog?
- even if it just required specific sized images, there could be a PSD template that helps make them from one main large image
- this could be done easily and in a way that the theme doesn’t ‘break’ when wordpress updates.
- *Need a skin plugin to update with versions of wordpress using standard image files in specific folders with specific names identifying the regions they are intended for.
If you have already found solutions or are creating plugins like this, please LET US KNOW BY COMMENTING HERE! and we will help you spread the word.
Thanks! comments welcome
