Happy Canada Day! oh yeah01 Jul

Even Google.ca has something to show us today:

canada day google ca Happy Canada Day! oh yeah

I’ll post google’s Canada Day Logo, however I’m having some major STUPID issues with YouTube this week. They seem to think that I have the time to get ‘release statements’ from my friends who gave me photos to use in a video that has my own song in it (YouTube offered revenue sharing to me, then disabled it and asked me to send them signed contracts for all the content…It’s my fucking YouTube iMovie video! C’mon YouTube, wake up and smell the Canadian bacon!. Seriously I don’t want to use YouTube if they expect me to prove every little thing…I mean if someone issues a COMPLAINT saying I’m using their material, that’s fair game, but when YouTube offers me to enable a video for revenue sharing and then fucks me over for honestly telling YouTube that I have permission to use photos(that was my mistake, when they asked if I owned everything i said that It was my song and that my friends gave me the photos to post as they had no power for 2 days – so basically just say its all yours next time? thanks google for promoting that idea. Once again, being honest fucks me over)…just to have YouTube suspend it from rev sharing DURING THE HIGHEST TRAFFIC TIMES – yeah…I have a tough time with that.

Not sure if YouTube employees are Google employees or people who came in from YouTube, but they need to make this process much simpler and maybe rethink their processes here. I mean they are a pretty smart company, but to ask me for releases from friends who sent me pics from their cell phones and digital cameras…BY FAX? C’mon its 2010. The emails I got IN FUCKING GMAIL and sent along AFTER ASKING FOR THEM as YouTube didn’t provide exactly the wording they wanted…BECAUSE THEY WANT THE VIDEO TO NOT BE REV-SHARING FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE = More $$ for Google/YouTube for my views….. jerks…….should suffice.

Okay back to Canada Day!
