And Like Joe says, this crossover game is DEFINITELY Legit.

I am an EXPERT super mario player thank you and only did I cave and get the Wii just a month ago when I finally felt the need to get rid of all my SNES, N64, GameCube stuff and get a Wii. Partially because i really liked trying Super Mario Wii which allows 4 simultaneous players in a sidescroller… like CONTRA

PACMAN WILL NOT SHUT UP!

There was a real lack of foresight here on Google’s part.

OR WAS THERE??? We all know Google is VERY SMART.

For those who have cool preview installed and had no idea, the ONLY way to fix this problem (Surf the web, while using voice chat applications or Skype, etc) would be to use Google Chrome! Hmm was this intentionally done to get people to think, ‘oh s&%# yet another Firefox Bug, let’s just use Chrome’.

Please comment on your experiences with this today!

OKAY SOLUTION: Shut Off COOL PREVIEWS
This is a FireFox Add-on… so Google obviously didn’t test thier idea with all the plugins out there, and you can’t really blame them for that, however this is a major problem for some people trying to work on skype with a browser open, that is looping the Pac-Man game sounds..

Plug in INFO: just delete / disable that plugin and you will be fine for now!

This is a MAJOR problem for anyone who is trying to use Firefox today along with voice applications – such as Skype or iChat.

Here was the original Pacman Cartridge Game box. Opening those, was like opening your new iPhone was when they first came out. ONLY MORE EXCITING! This brings back memories…

Today, Google is featuring a game on the homepage of search where you can actually play pacman with the arrow keys:

SOME COMMENTS: So I played the game, ate many ghosts and got 10,000 points on my first man, clearing the first stage easily. The play area has been completely changed and widened as to fit the Google Logo Banner area’s shape. This strange re-configuration of pacman was reminiscent of the Commodore Vic-20 (Commodore 64′s predecessor) version of Pacman where you could go into the ‘ghost house’ and continue to eat the regenerating ghosts, unlike the original version where they regen in full color.

STRANGE OCCURENCE: I (i mean my pacman character!)  ate the power pellet turning the ghosts blue… and I managed to pass through one of the ghosts completely without having it give me points or send the ghost back to the ghost house.

So I found a BUG! Also the game dramatically began to slow down in the browser as I got further into the second stage, where it became difficult to see some of the pellets. Not a bad First Google Homepage game effort though! Kinda stirs up some ideas for next halloween?

Waka Waka! – Wait a minute, Inky, Binky, Pinky & Clyde…there’s no PURPLE ghost, (grimace inspired maybe?) Oh well, he’s well hidden in that costume!
